If you're a franchise-mode sports gamer, 2K Sports' latest announcement about NBA 2K16's additions to MyLeague and MyGM will make you smile. On Wednesday, the NBA 2K Twitter account tweeted this news and link to a megaton of information:

Because there's so much awesomeness in these returning modes, it's hard to pick a place to begin. Almost every aspect of the new features offers great quality. MyLeague was already the quintessential multi-player franchise mode, while MyGM was among the best single-player franchise modes ever created. It appears both have become even stronger. NBA 2K16: 2K Sports Announces Massive New Additions to MyLeague and MyGM

The Witcher: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe, full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as the professional monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia, tasked with finding a child of the prophecy in a vast open world rich with merchant cities, Viking pirate islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns to explore.

Trained from early childhood and mutated to gain superhuman skills, strength, and reflexes, witchers are a distrusted counterbalance to the monster-infested world in which they live.

  • Gruesomely destroy foes as a professional monster hunter armed with a range of upgradeable weapons.

  • Hunt down a wide variety of exotic monsters from savage beasts prowling the mountain passes to cunning supernatural predators lurking in the shadows of densely populated towns.

  • Invest your rewards to upgrade your weaponry and buy custom armour, or spend them away in horse races, card games, fist fighting, and other pleasures the night brings.

HALO 5 Guardians

Not much info was given about the story at E3 2015, other than what we could learn from the footage shown. We only got to see things from Locke's standpoint, but it appears the Covenant is finally falling apart, as the Spartans mentions that the Arbiter is leading a charge to free a city.

Along with this, we saw that Fireteam Osiris was fighting the Prometheans again. We also learn that Master Chief was searching for a Guardian, who he seems to find. It is implied the Guardian is a Promethean, and when Fireteam Osiris shows up, they are told that the Prometheans gave Master Chief passage, but are refusing to help Locke and his crew.

Mortal Kombat X Review

Let’s just get this out of the way: Mortal Kombat X is the best Mortal Kombat, period. It’s deeper, mechanically richer, and more fully featured than any of the nine games before it, hands down. On top of that, developer NetherRealm Studios has taken a bunch of risks by adding eight entirely new characters to the MK roster, while introducing fun, distinct variations to returning ones. Each of these risks pays off to varying degrees, but they also serve to highlight some of the ways in which the franchise is stuck in the past. As a whole, Mortal Kombat X is an excellent fighter, and the most fun I’ve ever had with a Mortal Kombat game.

Gaming to Pay the Rent

Millions in prize money and ESPN-sized audiences at stake

Robert Lee sat down with his parents over dinner at a favorite Chinese restaurant to break the news: He decided to drop out of college after one year at California State University in Fullerton to pursue a career as a professional video game player.Lee had started to make more than a little money broadcasting his gameplay on Twitch while commuting to school three days a week. He wanted to make that a full-time job.

“The way I saw it, school was always going to be there, but this opportunity to make money playing video games was not always going to be there," he says.

Almost three years later, Lee is a pro League of Legends player, earning a salary that pays enough to cover rent, clothes, food and a couple luxuries, he says, though he declined to provide a figure. That’s in addition to the millions of dollars in prize money that his team, compLexity, is competing for at tournaments around the world.
